Brian Murray

Shareholder

Brian Murray has been in public accounting since 1997. Before that, he was in finance at Kimberly-Clark Corp., audit at M&I Bank Corp., and accounting manager at Browning-Ferris Ind. Brian’s areas of specialty are estate and trust tax and business valuation. Brian’s community involvement includes (previously) serving as Treasurer of the Salvation Army Fox Cities, serving on the Board of Directors of the Fox Valley Humane Society, and serving on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Brian also volunteered as a Big Brother for four years, and for United Way’s fundraising campaign for multiple years. Brian and his family live in Appleton.

Neal Roberts, CPA

Shareholder

Neal is a 1983 Appleton West High School graduate, and a 1989 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. He passed the November 1990 CPA exam. He has worked exclusively with small businesses and individual clients his entire career. An emphasis on tax planning has always been his priority. Neal helps with the challenges of today while keeping an eye on the future. He specializes in retirement planning and is familiar with multiple plan types to help small businesses and individual clients. Accounting system design and support are also areas of expertise. Let Neal help you simplify your accounting processes. Neal has been married for 22 years to his wife Cindy. He has sat on several different local area boards over his career, and currently is a board member at Fox Valley Golf Club. He is also the treasurer for Mission: Home, and the MM Muskie Club. He has been a member of the Wisconsin Institute of Certified Public Accounting since 1990. Neal and his wife live in Appleton.

Tanya Otto, CPA, CMA

Tanya Otto has been with Murray, Roberts & Otto CPA Firm SC since 2007. Tanya is a 1992 graduate of the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. Her entire career has been in public accounting and has focused on small business tax and consulting. She works with clients in diverse industries including manufacturing, construction, and retail. Tanya’s goal is to assist closely held business owners with proactive corporate and individual tax planning to achieve their goals while keeping current with changing tax regulations. She also does training with clients using QuickBooks to help them improve their internal efficiency and understanding of their financial information. Tanya has served on the Board of Leaven and the Fox Cities Chamber Small Business Committee and is currently a member of the Women In Management Fox Cities Chapter. Tanya and her family live in Appleton.

Todd Benzschawel, CPA

Todd is a Certified Public Accountant and joined Murray, Roberts & Otto in 2022. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and obtained his Master’s degree from UW-Whitewater. Todd has broad experience in both public accounting and industry. He has provided auditing services to public and private clients in a variety of business sectors ranging from manufacturing to healthcare including Oshkosh Truck and Badger Meter to Kimberly-Clark Corporation and Abbott Laboratories. Throughout his career, Todd has helped teams and individuals understand the root cause of their financial results and how to improve their bottom line. He has now brought that focus to our personal tax area helping clients understand and optimize their tax situation. When he is not assisting clients, he and enjoys travelling, spending time with his wife and family and volunteering with his community and church.

Kyle Bradley, CPA

Kyle is a native New Yorker and completed his undergraduate degree at Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY with a double major in Accounting & Business Administration. He then completed a Master’s Program in Accounting at Pace University in NYC and attained his CPA license shortly after. He started working for Ernst & Young, LLP in Times Square, NY in January 2017 where he has spent the majority of his career working with High Net Worth Individuals.

Susan Burroughs

Payroll Specialist

Susan joined the MRO team in 2018 after retiring with 40+ years of work experience. Her career included customer service, retail, production, working with budgets, safety, management of timekeeping for a large organization, and several other management positions. In her retirement she enjoys working a couple days per week processing payroll for MRO, spending time with family and friends, gardening, crocheting, reading and going for walks.

Jason Buss

Executive Assistant

Jason, a native of the Fox Valley, is to our team as a “utility in-fielder” is to a baseball team. Over the past year, our team has seen a lot of growth and movement. Allowing our team to focus on the core of our business and what we do well is important, that is where his support is integral and valued. During his time with our team, he has handled everything ranging from project management to that both team and client support.

Julie Dorie

Ryan Dwyer, CPA

Ryan has over a decade of accounting experience, both in private and public accounting. He received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth graduating Magna Cum Laude with a minor in Finance. Ryan received a Master of Accounting degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Ryan is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of Massachusetts. He began his career at a small CPA firm located in Cape Cod MA where he provided a wide range of accounting and tax services to many small business in the Cape Cod area.

More recently, Ryan worked at a large CPA firm based out of Boston. He was responsible for accounting and tax engagements for a diverse client base, which consisted mostly of closely held businesses across many different industries. He worked directly with the business owners and high-net-worth individuals involved in the businesses on individual taxation as well. Ryan also performed audit, review, compilation and consulting services for several of his clients.

Susan Kilsdonk, EA

Tax Services Manager

Susan Kilsdonk EA is a graduate of Kimberly High School in Kimberly, WI. She started working for MRO in 1999 as a tax assistant. Since then she has continually increased her expertise in individual income tax through education and practice. Sue also performs some business accounting functions. Sue passed the Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) exam in December of 2011.
